Alright, based on the many responses I got to the workshop question yesterday...

You all basically went 50/50.  Half of you wanted the Free Writing workshop, the other half wanted the Rev Share one. 

So, here's the thing:

I was going to charge $297 for the workshop.  It'd be 4-5 hours, live, virtual, recorded, all that jazz.

But I'm gonna give you guys a gift:

I will do BOTH workshops for one payment of $297. 

This is to pay for my time, basically. It's 1/2 of what other people are charging for live workshops, and you're getting 2 workshops for that price.

    • Unused assets

  • Types of Rev Share: equity w/ distributions, funnel based, licensing, royalties, promos, profits

  • Situations to avoid Rev share

    • No traction

    • No offer/new offer

    • Declining biz

    • Breakeven paid ad acquisition

    • Bad testimonial/student ratio (low results)

  • Getting results for a Rev share client (hint; it’s the same as a regular client, but with less ambiguity) ie: Rev Share clients are easier to work with, make you 5-10x more money, and position you better. They’re also easier to find* IF you know where to look and how to approach them.

  • How to structure your contracts to make sure you get paid (Trust, But Confirm)

    • No handshakes unless they’re over a signed contract

    • Make sure you get audit access or visibility

  • How to get paid up front (Advance on royalties)

    • Some deals will agree to a buildout fee that is taken from your initial royalties. Ie: $5000 from your rev share up front, and as you earn it will repay.

  • Why Rev Shares eventually die, and what to turn them into.

    • What have you done for me lately?

    • Entropy

    • Natural growth and transition

    • Something breaks

    • Turning rev share into referral, partnership, equity, buyouts, licensing, or more rev share

  • Prepping yourself to accept Rev shares.

    • Rev share requires much higher initial trust because it’s relational, not transactional.
